About SASF
Stockton Animal Shelter Friends (SASF) is a non-profit, all-volunteer, humane organization formed in 1996 to assist the City of Stockton Animal Control with increasing adoptions, humane education and spay or neuter of animals. Our mission is to improve the welfare of companion animals in our community and reduce the homeless pet population.
In addition to adoption programs, the organization:
- fosters puppies and kittens until they are old enough to be adopted
- provides necessary medical care for adoptable animals
- conducts programs to promote the spaying & neutering of pets
- participates in community events for educational purposes
- sponsors pet care, training, and behavioral seminars at its facility
SASF is located at the Adopt-A-Pet and Spay/Neuter Education Center at 7475 Murray Dr., Suite 19 in Stockton, CA. Visit our Contact Us page for directions to the Adopt-a-Pet Center.
The purpose of the center is to facilitate the placement of adoptable animals from the city/county animal shelter into loving homes and to promote efforts to reduce pet overpopulation in San Joaquin County.
